Thanks Shelby for setting up a blog for our communication...this is great! Another site for us to check out is www.shopmainstreet.org. The state main street representatives mentioned this to our economics committee (of which I am now a member) during their evaluation session yesterday.
They specifically sited a website in Marysville, Kansas called Garden of Eden who casually decided to begin e-commerce and since that fortuitous decision, they have increased their business significantly.
Even though this site is rather slim right now, it is yet another portal for our community of merchants to consider reaching out to. As a new member of the Main Street Economics Committee...a member of Team Jefferson...a small business owner myself, I am committed to helping our merchants find all outlets that help them thrive and survive.
As I learn more about what WSU has to offer our community and county, I so appreciate what you all do!
